Whether the note-taking app participates, supplies its data into the OS global search feature, such as Spotlight in macOS. To enable the user to get results from it among other apps (file explorer, emails, reminders, OCRed photos, etc), powering a unified results pane as well as reminding the user of the results existing in the note-taking app.
