Utilize cloud storage like dropbox or google drive
Ability to store accessible files in a cloud storage location rather than embedded in a note-app database.

Bill AdminHey Jason, this seems like a pretty good idea. My main Q would be whether it is distinct from our existing feature "Note data can be hosted locally:
Note content & embeds can be stored locally to a directory on the user's hard drive as the notes are created." Are there apps that allow a user to choose cloud storage like Dropbox or Google Drive without allowing files to be stored locally? My perception was that using those products was essentially a biproduct of being able to store files locally? -

JasonYou are right - I wouldn't see it as distinctive. I think I saw that feature in the list but it adds "Import / Export" to the title and I thought it just had to do with the ability to export files rather than having the files be stored in cloud storage that I control from the beginning. Essentially what I'm really driving at is platform independence so that files are stored and accessible and I can get at them and view and edit them without the tool in case the tool goes away. As someone who has migrated away from evernote in the past week, it's high on my mind right now!
