Some Markdown features
Under "Formatting supported":
- Markdown syntax - app provides menus or hotkeys to insert markdown specific syntax
- we can add the existing h1/h2/h3 as a subfeature
- other MD specific formatiing such as ** for bold, --- for horizontal lines, [title](https://www.example.com) for links
Other useful distinctions to make:
- Editor markdown preview => No editor preview for markdown formatting (editor shows a flat list of unformatted text)
- Editor mardown preview => Editor split pane preview
- Editor markdown preview => Editor formats text and keeps symbols
- Editor markdown preview => WYSIWYG (editor format text and removes symbols)

Bill AdminHmm, my reservation on this one is that all of the "editor markdown preview" features add up to a moderate penalty for apps that immediately translate markdown straight to HTML. Is there a distinct advantage or two that is afforded by markdown previews? It would be nice if we could figure out a specific feature or two offered by markdown previews that markdown->HTML apps can't match.
