Although you have an Offline category, I was surprised to see that every sub-feature only describes a small aspect of being offline. I want to know what apps can be fully functional with ZERO internet. As in, no need to create an online account, and no need to contact anyone - ever. Apps that fall into this category should be 100% functional even if you block them with a firewall from the moment you install them.

Apple Notes has smart folder feature. Evernote has saved searches. Those are useful to quickly find or list notes that have a specific set of criteria you are regularly looking for or for organizational purpose (for example, finding all notes to which you haven't assigned a tag yet). I was looking if there are other note apps that offer this but unfortunately your otherwise awesome database can't tell me that (yet!).

Add feature for "Tags allow spaces", e.g. "real estate" not #real, #estate

It would be great if it were possible to break down which apps allow spaces in note tags. I can't use an app that breaks up the "real estate" tag into two separate "real" and "estate" tags which don't mean much on their own. I also dislike workarounds like using snake_case or PascalCase a.k.a. "upper camelCase".

In iOS this feature also named as "Universal Links" and in android it is called also as "App Links". Hi, I use tag search a lot. With Evernote, I can type a word in the global search or the tag category search: the tags that contain the search word are displayed. With Amplenote you have to add in: to the search and any suggestions are displayed, and with Joplin, you have to add tag: to the search but there are no suggestions, just the results. With other apps like Standard Notes and Notejoy, there doesn't seem to be an option to search for labels. It would be good to have this feature on noteappinfos. Thanks

Hi, When I search for a word in the Evernote global search, suggestions show if there are matching tags, notebooks, or notes. I use this function every day. I thought the feature already existed: "Auto-suggest tags, directory, or category When entering text into the search field, matching hierarchical tags/directories are offered to help the user filter note content" but this is a search in the specific fields of a note and not in the global search. It would be really handy to have this filter on noteapps. Thanks :)

Hi, I currently use Evernote which allows you to add two types of checkboxes: checkbox or checklist. I use it to check or uncheck recurring or non-recurring tasks but in both cases, I want the text to stay where it is in the note, and it possible, not strikethrough it. I just tried Amplenote and I was surprised to find all my text "checked" in a section at the bottom of the notes!

Confusing hierarchy of subtasks

The absence of the blank page icon in Notion's database view PC is causing frustration for me. This issue results in poor alignment between items with a 'filled page' icon and those lacking the 'blank page' icon at the same subbranch level. The problem is present in the iPad version as well, although the iPad version leaves a grey or black triangle to maintain alignment between messages at the same level. However, on the PC, the grey triangle only appears when the mouse hovers over it, leading to confusion regarding the hierarchy of branches. Is there a solution or workaround you can suggest to address this problem?

When creating a link to another page, most apps, like Roam, Notion, etc... allow one to create a new page if it does not exist. Some apps, however, only allow linking to an already-existing page. There is a third category, too. (I think Slatr does this) where you can only create a subpage, but can't create a page in a different / global scope. Ideally, when linking to a non-existent page, you can create the page, and place it into any context. Otherwise knowledge-graph creation gets really clunky!

Search matches by block or wider context

When searching, many note apps (roam, logseq, notion, etc...) require that all query terms match within a single block. But other apps (archbee) surface broader results. So for example, if I have a page "this is block one this is block two" and I search "one two", most note taking apps won't surface the page. I think this is a very important aspect of search functionality, and it would be great to encourage note taking apps to consider it, even though most don't do a good job on it currently.

Optimistic updates to search

In some apps, like Roam or Obsidian, when you make a note or edit the contents of the note, those changes are immediately reflected in search. Other apps, like Notion, rely on a delayed indexing process. Because of this, there is a delay (sometimes many minutes) before changes are reflected in search. This makes a big difference for constructing / managing knowledge graphs, making it quite irritating to do in Notion, for example.

For constructing a knowledge graph, it's super important for existing notes to be discoverable via search. Some note apps do this better than others: - stemming: "run" and "running" should return the same search results - segmentation: "autoscaling" and "auto scaling" should return the same results - synonyms: "aws" and "amazon web services" should return the same results Most note apps do a pretty terrible job with this (Notion, Roam). Of the apps I know, archbee is the one that does the best job.
